About the Trust

The Trust is made up of a small committee of volunteers who manage, maintain and try to develop and improve the centre. It is non profit making and has only a small working income which just covers costs and routine maintenance. Recent sustainable additions (new generator, photo-voltaic panels, wind turbine, natural insulation and composting toilet) have been paid for with generous grants from the Northern Rock Foundation, The National Park and Leader Plus following a lot of time consuming dedicated work.

We are always on the look out for new trustees and committee members who are prepared, willing and able to make valuable contributions to the continuing success of the cottage. We plan a number of working weekends throughout the year which are always enjoyable convivial occasions.

The comittee meets every 3 months, but there are a number of working parties who regularly help to maintain the centre. If you're interested in helping out then contact us for an initial conversation.
