Bedrooms

Stand the mattresses upright on edge, on each bed, so they can air.

Ensure that all bedding and mattresses are completely off the floor, and that the floor is totally clear. Check under mattresses for rubbish.

Clean floors with soft sweeping brush, vacuum cleaner and lightly mop if necessary.

Replace the west bedroom shutters (you will need 2 adults)

Windows

Leave Velux windows in venting position.

Leave bedroom doors open so the air can circulate.

Landing

Vacuum or sweep stairs and landing, clean and mop downstairs entrance.

Living Room

Wipe down tabletops, sweep floor and wash with damp mop.

Clean out fire grate and lay fire ready for next party

(ash to be put down bank beyond car park).

Fill coal hod and leave in fire recess.

Fill basket with logs and replenish kindling.

Bathroom

Empty sanitary bins, clean and replace bags.

Disinfect toilets, clean shower, hand-basins and tiles; mop floor.

Kitchen

Clean cooker, hob, table and chairs: mop floor.

Leave cupboards tidy, all crockery and pans washed, dried and put away.

(Do not leave any perishable food. If you want to leave any non-perishable dried foods, please do so in the metal tins or take it home.)

Switch off fridge (unless freezer is being used), empty contents and clean (leave doors open)

(Do not leave any perishable food).

Turn off water heater.

Porch

Clean sink, sweep and wash floors with mop.

Barn

(if used)

Clean benches and sweep floor.

Sweep clean.

Empty out ashes from stove.

Leave logs, coal and kindling for next users.

Appliances

Switch off all gas and electrical small appliances in the kitchen, including the water heater pilot light.       Observe water shut down procedure in winter.

Switch off all electrical lights and sockets. Doubly check outside lights.

Close the taps on all gas cylinders and pull lever down so that it is at right angles to gas pipe. (Read advice notices in the gas room)

Rubbish

Please take all of your rubbish home. Take home your local recyclables.
